Plants

We offer a curated selection of native plants and sustainably grown ornamentals, sourced from growers who do not use neonicotinoid or other synthetic, systemic pesticides, prioritizing transparency and ecological responsibility at every step.

Native Plants

Native plants form the foundation of many resilient gardens. We prioritize species that provide meaningful habitat value for pollinators and other wildlife, while also performing well in Massachusetts landscapes.

Pollinator-Supporting Ornamentals

In addition to native species, we offer a selection of non-native ornamentals that are chosen for their compatibility with pollinators and grown without systemic pesticides.

To create habitat and support the local food web, experts typically recommend aiming for 70% native plants in your landscape. Non-native ornamentals are the remaining 30%; they complement native plantings and offer additional seasonal interest, while still aligning with pollinator-friendly practices.

How We Select Plants

  • Emphasis on ecological value
  • Preference for regional Massachusetts growers and Ecotype 59 plants
  • Clear information about how plants are sourced and grown
  • Strong preference for supporting small growers

How It Works

Once you place a plant order through our website, we will source your choices from small, reputable growers, and bring them back for local delivery to Grafton and surrounding communities at no charge.
